General Manager, Mini Golf + Bar (opening team)
Durham, NC (east of downtown, Ramseur St) · Full-time, salaried · $65,000–$75,000 + bonus up to 10% · Health benefits · Paid time off
We're opening an 18-hole mini golf course with a bar, an ice cream kiosk and a rotating food truck court in a converted warehouse just east of downtown Durham. Afternoons belong to families and birthday parties. Nights belong to grown-ups with a drink in one hand and a putter in the other. We need the person who runs all of it.
What you'll do
- Help open the venue: hire and train a team of about 15–20, set up POS and booking, write opening and closing procedures.
- Run the bar program: menu, pricing, inventory, ordering, pour cost.
- Own the numbers: weekly sales, labor, cost of goods, and the monthly P&L with the owner.
- Book and run private events, birthday parties and corporate buyouts.
- Manage the food truck schedule and vendor relationships.
- Keep the course, building and yard safe, clean and in good repair.
- Hold the ABC permit responsibilities: ID checks, responsible service, compliance.
What you bring
- 3+ years managing a bar, restaurant or entertainment venue, including P&L responsibility.
- Opening experience strongly preferred.
- Strong bar operations knowledge; NC ABC experience a plus.
- Comfort with families and late-night crowds in the same building on the same day.
- Availability for nights, weekends and peak seasons.
